The TV series addresses the worldwide phenomenon of family violence, particularly violence against women, which has grown alarmingly in recent years.

Maria grows up in a family where daily fights and beatings are common occurrences. Maria’s childhood is spent next to her mother, who, being destroyed in her personal life, is unable to give her the love and care that every child needs.

The indifference of the society and the representatives of the law leads to the fact that Maria’s mother kills her father during another beating. Without that, the girl, deprived of her mother’s attention, loses her mother altogether and ends up in a family where having a child is a dream.
